MacDonald Lynch is expanding as it acquires a long-established practice in the city.
The company has announced its acquisition of Archer Coyle, a family firm of solicitors located in the Muirend area of the city. This strategic move further strengthens MacDonald Lynch's position as a leading legal services provider in the west of Scotland.
Established in 2021 by Elaine MacDonald, MacDonald Lynch has enjoyed remarkable growth since its launch.
Elaine, who previously worked at Austin Lafferty Ltd, left the Newton Mearns based firm to establish her own venture, successfully acquiring the well-respected practice of Lynch and Co., subsequently expanded and rebranded as MacDonald Lynch.
Led by partners Elaine MacDonald, Colin Carr and Robert Telfer, the firm provides a range of legal services including residential and commercial conveyancing, wills, estates, power of attorney and family law. MacDonald Lynch also provides real estate services through its association with Lanarkshire based Residence Estate Agents and Letting Agents.
Liz Coyle and Gordon Dangerfield, founding partners at Archer Coyle, will join MacDonald Lynch as consultants and their existing employee will transfer to the new operation. The newly expanded firm also expects to hire additional staff in the coming months as it seeks to grow its presence in the area.
Senior Partner Elaine MacDonald said: “We are delighted to welcome Archer Coyle into the MacDonald Lynch group. This acquisition represents a significant milestone for our firm as we continue to grow and establish ourselves as a trusted legal partner in Glasgow and beyond. We are excited to combine our expertise with the wealth of experience that Liz Coyle, Gordon Dangerfield and their team bring to the table. Together, we are committed to delivering exceptional service and achieving the best outcomes for our clients."
Liz Coyle added: “We believe that MacDonald Lynch is the perfect fit to take over our practice. Elaine and her team have already built a strong reputation in the legal community, and we are certain that our clients will be in good hands. We look forward to working closely with the MacDonald Lynch team and providing a seamless transition for our valued clients."
MacDonald Lynch is led by senior partner Elaine MacDonald, supported by partners Colin Carr and Robert Telfer. The company now employs 11 staff across its two locations.
