After graduating in Law from Strathclyde University, Elaine worked in business development for several years. She decided to enter the legal profession and completed the Dip LP in 2011.

Elaine has worked in private practice for almost 15 years and has a broad range of skills and experience in property sale and purchase, commercial leases, wills and estates, power of attorney, divorce and separation.

Elaine is determined that MacDonald Lynch should offer a personalised, approachable service to clients.

Elaine shares her life with her young daughter and their dog Milo. She is a keen fitness enthusiast, which gives her the energy and drive to deliver for her clients.

Robert studied Law at the University of Glasgow, where he later obtained a PhD, and has been a Partner at MacDonald Lynch since 2022.

He advises clients on conveyancing, Wills, Powers of Attorney and Executries. His previous experience with a leading Glasgow estate agency gives him a strong understanding of the property market and valuable insight into the practicalities of buying and selling a home.

Outside work, Robert is a keen car enthusiast and is learning German. His Staffordshire Bull Terrier, Hadley, regularly accompanies him to the office and has become a familiar face to many MacDonald Lynch clients.

Colin is a graduate of the University of Glasgow. After eight years as a sole practitioner in Rutherglen, Colin became one of the founding partners of Carr Berman Crichton of Rutherglen and Glasgow. More recently he has worked as a freelance business development consultant for other legal practices. Colin deals in domestic property, wills, power of attorney and estates. He regularly conducts home, hospital and hospice visits for the infirm or elderly. He also deals with claims for mis-sold financial products and was instrumental in bringing forward PPI claims in Scotland, acting for some 30,000 clients and recovering £50 million.

Colin lives in the south side of Glasgow with his wife Yvonne and has three grown up children.

Tracey Matheson studied English Literature at the University of Edinburgh but left to join Registers of Scotland (ROS) as a non graduate direct entrant. She later completed her degree through the Open University. At ROS, she gained a deeper understanding of the law and worked in a variety of roles handling customer services, Books of Council and Session and legal casework. Following redundancy, Tracey returned to University to retrain as a paralegal. More than six years into her new career, Tracey continues to expand her legal skills and experience in all aspects of conveyancing.

In her spare time, she enjoys spending time in the Dumfries and Galloway countryside with her family.

Gillian has experience working in all areas of residential conveyancing and private client matters. She enjoys helping buyers navigate the property market and is committed to delivering excellent client service.

In previous employment, Gillian worked as a cashier for a major bank where she processed a high volume of customer transactions.

Gillian has recently completed her Diploma in Legal Practice and is now training to become a solicitor.

Nicola Black is an experienced legal secretary with many years' experience in residential conveyancing, supporting clients and colleagues throughout the property buying and selling process. Known for her organised approach, attention to detail and friendly manner, Nicola enjoys helping clients navigate what can often be a stressful time with confidence and ease.

Outside of work, she enjoys travelling, cooking and spending quality time with family and friends. She is also the proud mother of two grown up sons and enjoy making the most of life’s adventures both at home and abroad.

Lorna has been with our Mount Florida office since its days as Lynch & Co., so she brings a wealth of experience and in-depth knowledge of Glasgow's southside. A trusted and dependable member of the team, she plays a key role in supporting our partners.

Sophie Gillespie recently joined Macdonald Lynch as a Legal Assistant and is excited to be part of a fast-growing, trusted law firm. Sophie is eager to contribute to the firm’s continued success while developing her legal expertise.

Sophie is in the second year of her LLB.

Shirley holds a degree in History and Scottish Studies from the University of Strathclyde and has over 30 years of experience in the legal profession. Starting as an audio typist/secretary in Shawlands, Glasgow, Shirley qualified as a Residential Conveyancing Paralegal in 2008. Over the years, Shirley has gained comprehensive experience in all aspects of residential transactions, rising to the position of Senior Paralegal in 2019. Additionally, Shirley is an Accredited Paralegal with the Law Society of Scotland.

Outside of work, Shirley enjoys spending time with her family and playing bowls.

Emma brings valuable experience in residential conveyancing and is dedicated to providing clients with clear, confident guidance throughout the buying and selling process. She’s dedicated to supporting first-time buyers, providing clear and reassuring advice to ensure their experience is as smooth and stress-free as possible.

Kyle is a Paralegal in the Conveyancing Team at MacDonald Lynch, working across residential and commercial conveyancing.

He supports clients throughout the conveyancing process, helping transactions progress smoothly from initial instruction through to completion. He enjoys the fast-paced nature of conveyancing and the variety of working with different clients and transactions.

Kyle also holds a Specialist Paralegal Qualification in Commercial Conveyancing, complementing his practical experience in the field.

Outside of work, Kyle enjoys travelling and exploring new destinations.
