Power of Attorney

A Power of Attorney is a written legal document that gives a loved one or someone you trust the authority to make decisions on your behalf in later life.

We can assist with Welfare and Financial Powers of Attorney.

Why should you have a Power of Attorney?

A Power of Attorney allows you to appoint another person to make decisions regarding your welfare and financial affairs/property matters should you become incapable.

We strongly advise clients to appoint a Power of Attorney. In the absence of such a deed, a Guardianship Order may be required if an individual becomes incapable. This would involve a lengthy court procedure and is significantly more expensive.
